Bali Honeymoon 2011 (The Elysian and Kuta Beach)

We went on our honeymoon in June 2011, and because I sometimes just like looking at photos, I'm not gonna say too much in this post.

Just lots and lots of photos.

Ku De Ta:

I'd read a lot about it and also wondered what it was like, so for the benefit of those of you who're also wondering what it's like, here it is.

We had a great holiday here, and if it weren't just that slightly expensive (actually, a lot expensive), we'd definitely like to go back again. If you're interested in trying it out, make sure you come prepared with a good book and some DVDs as once you're in the resort and in your villa, it's very hard trying to persuade yourself to go out!

Viva Las Vegas! Part 4 - Route 66 pictures

Not being quite sure what Route 66 was famous for prior to an informative lesson by the tour guide, Alex and the husband, I was fascinated by the colours and vintage signs dotted along the road, specifically where we stopped for a rest.

There's a whole lot of history about the place. To summarise it very, very briefly, this was once a famous road stretching 2,448 miles from Chicago to Los Angeles. It was one of the original highways in the US of A, and pretty much everyone and anyone knew about and used at least one stretch of the road at one point or another.

On 27th June, 1985, authorities decided that the route was no longer relevant, and replaced it with the Interstate Highway System. It was decommissioned, ie taken of the maps, so suddenly, people were going 'Hey where's the road gone?'

P/S: Metro Diner was one of the places where Elvis ate, it seems.

Anyway, to prevent myself from just copying and pasting stuff, I'm just going to show you pictures I took while I was there. Not much explanations, just pictures.
